We are currently recruiting for an experienced EHCP Plan Writer to join a busy SEND Service in West Berkshire.
This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled SEND professional with strong EHCP drafting experience to support the production of high-quality, person-centred Education, Health and Care Plans that help deliver positive outcomes for children and young people with SEND.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Draft high-quality Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) using MS Word and the MRI system.
    • Produce clear, accessible and outcome-focused plans that accurately reflect assessed needs and provision.
    • Work closely with families to agree final EHCPs and ensure all parties understand their roles in implementation.
    • Apply person-centred and personalised approaches throughout the EHCP process.
    • Liaise with SEND Assessment Team members, schools and multi-agency professionals to gather and review information.
    • Ensure safeguarding responsibilities are upheld and any concerns are managed in line with statutory guidance and local procedures.
    • Promote equality, inclusion and positive outcomes for children and young people with SEND.
    • Maintain accurate records and manage caseloads effectively to meet required timescales.
Requirements:
  • Extensive experience working within SEND and EHCP services.
    • Strong knowledge of SEND legislation and statutory processes.
    • Proven experience drafting and amending EHCPs to a high standard.
    • Excellent written communication skills and exceptional attention to detail.
    • Ability to manage a busy caseload independently and prioritise workloads effectively.
    • Strong partnership-working and stakeholder engagement skills.
    • Commitment to person-centred practice and achieving positive outcomes for children and young people.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a supportive SEND team, offering flexible hybrid working and a competitive daily rate while making a meaningful impact on the lives of children and young people.
