The OpportunityWe are currently recruiting for 3 experienced HGV Drivers (Class 1 / Class 2) to join a well-established and growing environmental and industrial services business based in Wrexham.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a specialist operation, working with a modern fleet of specialist vehicles, including tankers, combination units and high-pressure jetting vehicles.

You will be responsible for travelling to a variety of customer sites, supporting essential environmental, waste management and industrial cleaning operations across the region.

Our client is looking for reliable, safety-conscious drivers who take pride in their work and are interested in building a long-term career. The positions are initially offered on a temporary basis, with the opportunity to become permanent for candidates who demonstrate the right attitude and commitment.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely operate Class 1 or Class 2 specialist HGV vehicles, including tankers, combination units and jetting vehicles.
  
  
• Travel from the Wrexham depot to various customer sites, ensuring timely and safe delivery of services.
  
  
• Support industrial cleaning, waste transportation and environmental service operations.
  
  
• Carry out daily vehicle inspections and ensure vehicles are maintained to the required safety standards.
  
  
• Complete relevant vehicle checks, driver records and customer/site documentation.
  
  
• Follow all relevant road transport legislation, health and safety procedures and site-specific requirements.
  
  
• Work professionally with customers and colleagues when attending client locations.
  
  
• Assist with operational duties on-site where required and where appropriately trained.
  
  
• Be flexible to support occasional overtime, weekend work and emergency call-outs.
  
  

Essential Requirements

• Valid Class 1 (C+E) or Class 2 (Category C) HGV driving licence.
  
  
• Valid Driver CPC qualification.
  
  
• Valid digital tachograph card.
  
  
• No more than 6 penalty points on your driving licence.
  
  
• No serious driving convictions.
  
  
• A professional, reliable and safety-focused approach to work.
  
  
• Flexibility to work additional hours when operationally required.
  
  

Desirable Experience & QualificationsThe following would be advantageous but are not essential:

• ADR qualification.
  
  
• Previous experience within waste management, tanker operations or industrial services.
  
  
• Experience operating specialist vehicles, including combination units, suction tankers or jetting equipment.
  
  
• Confined space entry qualifications.
  
  
• Industrial cleaning qualifications or relevant operational tickets.
  
  

Additional earning potential: Candidates who hold additional operational qualifications or are dual-skilled in HGV driving and industrial operations may be eligible for an enhanced rate of pay.
